Skills Canada Gold Medal Winner

Congratulations to Caleb Rose, gold medal winner of the 2019 Skills Ontario Competition in Automotive Service Technology. Caleb will represent Ontario at Skills Canada in Halifax Nova Scotia on May 28, 2019.

The Skills Canada Ontario competition is the championship game for the ‘tech world’ and is Canada's largest skilled trade and technology competition. The competition offers a unique opportunity for top students across the province to demonstrate that they are the ‘best of the best’ in their field.

Caleb proved that through hard work, determination, dedication and a passion for the trade, he was the best by taking home the gold!

Caleb participated in a Transportation class at Assumption College School taught by Mr. Taiello. In class he worked on vehicles, learned how to use tools and equipment safely and how to perform complex diagnostics. Being a natural leader, matched with a dedication to the trade, Caleb was able to execute the tasks required that lead him to victory.

Mr. Taiello, Assumption College School and the Board are very proud of this young man’s accomplishment and wish Caleb the best when he competes in Halifax at the end of the month.
